Nicola Privato is an Italian artist and researcher based in Reykjavik, Iceland. His background is in jazz improvisation, electronic music and linguistics. In his practice Nicola embraces many different disciplines, such as audiovisual art, data mining, generative scores and AI.

Over the last three years Supersport! has slowly but surely made their name as one of the most exciting bands in Iceland’s vibrant grassroots music scene. Combining elements of pop songwriting and sonic experimentation within the boundaries set by the four-piece band formation, Supersport!’s debut LP, 2021’s tveir dagar, produced by The Vaccines’ Árni Árnason has gained them a reputation as the torchbearers of the local underground scene.

Gyða Valtýsdottir has been active as a musician since her early teens as a founding member of the experimental pop-group múm. Classically trained, Gyda has made music for films, theater & dance, among many other creative ventures, possessing a rare range of musical experiences which creates a unique alchemical compound.

Short circuits, wires, electro melody and whole lotta fun – this is the creed of Tsvey’s work. The duo Tsvey was formed by two people – Piotr Połoz and Bartek Kujawski. Both of them are incredibly active on their native music scene.

POLA was created by Zofia Olszewska and Piotr Komosiński. She – vocalist, photographer, retoucher, since 2010 working under the name Zofia Analog. She’s been composing and writing for 10 years, drawing inspiration from femininity, love, folk, religious rituals and poetry. Rites of passage, time, borders between what was and what is going to be, family and multiculturalism are the most important elements of her works.

Concert of Polski Piach took place 25th of April in Sláturhúsið Menningarmiðstöð in Egilsstaðir. Polski Piach (in literal translation – Polish Sands) is true dream team of friends: the trio features Patryk Zakrocki on acoustic guitar, Piotr Mełech on bass clarinet and Piotr Domagalski on basolia.

T'ien Lai set off as a analog electronic duo (Jakub Ziołek & Łukasz Jędrzejczak) performing their noisy and drony sound collages primarily on old Polish Śnieżka radio sets. This phase was captured on 2013 album Da'at (Monotype Records).

The concert of Atli Bollason & Guðmundur Úlfarsson took place on August 4 at Fabryka Sztuki in Łódź, Tymienieckiego 3 Street.

The Distort Visual collective with Piotr Socha performed on June 10 at 8.00 p.m. in Mengi, Óðinsgata 2, 101 Reykjavík. One-hour track, resonating beats and audio-visual show – Polish project Render played concert in Mengi.

Concert of the Polish band Mammoth Ulthana was on April 23 at 20.00 (Polish time) in Herðubíó in the Icelandic city of Seyðisfjörður. Mammoth Ulthana is a duo of avant-garde Polish musicians: Jacek Doroszenko and Rafał Kołacki. During the concert in Egilsstaðir, the musicians will present a set of new compositions, prepared especially for this performance, based on a saturated and dense electronic layer with elements of field recordings from places of worship.
