Nicola Privato is an Italian artist and researcher based in Reykjavik, Iceland. His background is in jazz improvisation, electronic music and linguistics. In his practice Nicola embraces many different disciplines, such as audiovisual art, data mining, generative scores and AI.

Over the last three years Supersport! has slowly but surely made their name as one of the most exciting bands in Iceland’s vibrant grassroots music scene. Combining elements of pop songwriting and sonic experimentation within the boundaries set by the four-piece band formation, Supersport!’s debut LP, 2021’s tveir dagar, produced by The Vaccines’ Árni Árnason has gained them a reputation as the torchbearers of the local underground scene.

POLA was created by Zofia Olszewska and Piotr Komosiński. She – vocalist, photographer, retoucher, since 2010 working under the name Zofia Analog. She’s been composing and writing for 10 years, drawing inspiration from femininity, love, folk, religious rituals and poetry. Rites of passage, time, borders between what was and what is going to be, family and multiculturalism are the most important elements of her works.

Mammoth Ulthana

Concert of the Polish band Mammoth Ulthana was on April 23 at 20.00 (Polish time) in Herðubíó in the Icelandic city of Seyðisfjörður. Mammoth Ulthana is a duo of avant-garde Polish musicians: Jacek Doroszenko and Rafał Kołacki. During the concert in Egilsstaðir, the musicians will present a set of new compositions, prepared especially for this performance, based on a saturated and dense electronic layer with elements of field recordings from places of worship.
