Countess Malaise

Concert of Countess Malaise took place in Fabryka Sztuki in Lodz on 11 August 2022.

With an established presence in the Icelandic underground rap scene, Countess Malaise's energetic performances have seen her perform at events such as Sónar Reykjavík and be invited to alternative / queer venues across Europe. Malaise's music shows a strong emphasis on audiovisual coherence, with an equal emphasis on lyrical, performative and visual elements. Despite this, her work is far from shallow aestheticism, often touching on topics that are generally considered taboo, such as ruthless critique of rape culture. Her first EP entitled HYSTERÍA and released it on Halloween 2019.
